Backend Infrastructure Engineer

abra R&D is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build a next-generation database from scratch, designed specifically for AI Agents. In this role, you’ll build an SDK layer on top of a custom AI-Agent database, enabling seamless, efficient, and secure integration for both internal systems and external developers. This is not a standard backend role -it’s deep, infrastructure-level development, working on core systems used by AI Agents in production. What you’ll do: Design and develop SDKs as an abstraction layer over the database Build integrations with internal and external systems Design backend systems from scratch (0→1) Own system design, architecture decisions, and feature definition Build large-scale infrastructure (similar to trading systems / high-throughput platforms) Develop production-grade backend services 5+ years of backend development experience Strong experience with Node.js / Python / Go / Rust (flexible stack) Proven experience building SDKs and integrations Strong system design and architecture skills Experience working with large-scale infrastructure Ability to independently define and implement features
