Global vertical market enterprise software company with over 1,000 employees and significant operations in the US, Israel, Romania, UK and India. The Company is owned by a Private Equity fund. The Company is a leader in its market with both SaaS and Licensed software products and is involved in a very dynamic industry with a high degree of innovation. The company plans to continue its growth trajectory organically or by M&A to increase its current position and market share.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Controller with expertise in revenue recognition and accounting analysis according to IFRS. This role will report to the Revenue-Recognition manager and will work in parallel with the Consolidation and Subsidiaries Controllers and will be instrumental in streamlining the Order to Cash and Accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a knack for thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.

Responsibilities:

Review contracts for revenue recognition implications, and provide guidance and assistance to cross-functional departments to ensure optimal revenue recognition in line with the Company’s forecast
Participate in monthly and quarterly revenue forecast procedures.
Manage the monthly close process related to revenues including the timely completion of close items, analytical review, deferred revenue schedule and other reports
Be a part of a team supporting the accounting, consolidation and financial statements reporting
Monitor the monthly and quarterly financial figures of subsidiaries around the globe
Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
Responsibility for the monthly and quarterly closing process
Participate in the audit process with the external auditors of the group
Monitoring subsidiaries accounting and reports to ensure proper accounting in accordance with IFRS and with the Group’s policies
Providing on going and ad-hoc reporting to management and to the Shareholders
Work closely with the Order-to-Cash cross functional teams, Consolidation and Subsidiaries Controllers, members of the global accounting team and other partners to ensure agreements are properly booked and recognized, Company-wide operation is accurate, efficient and effective.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary

Requirements:

CPA - required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics - preferred
Big 4 accounting firm - preferred
1-3 years of experience after internship
Experience in High Tech companies - an advantage
Experience in Revenue Recognition and hands on Revenue Accounting for Software companies- advantage
A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, able to work independently as well as being a team player
Thorough and details oriented
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
High level of intellectual curiosity, ability to make a sound judgment
Excellent computer skills with MS Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
ERP experience is an advantage, experience with NetSuite is a plus!
Extensive experience in the application of all relevant IFRS/US GAAP revenue accounting standards and working knowledge of all other current authoritative literature related to revenue recognition is preferred
Excellent English - required

Work Location – Work from home/Hybrid (offices located in Jerusalem and Petah-Tikvah).
