About the job

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D Mechanical Engineering team, with a primary focus on Sustaining Engineering.
Working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment, you will contribute to the ongoing support and improvement of complex systems that integrate motion and mechanisms, electromechanical packaging, precision components, and a broad range of manufacturing technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, quality, procurement, and service to resolve technical issues, implement design updates, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

Participate in sustaining activities related to existing systems, including issue resolution, design modifications, and engineering support.
Collaborate with design engineering teams to support the release and transfer of new products to production.
Drive continuous improvement in product quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
Support regulatory documentation and compliance activities.
Provide technical support to production, service, and field teams.
Participate in cross-functional reviews and project planning for both sustaining and new development initiatives.

Experiences, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years of experience in a multidisciplinary R&D or sustaining engineering role.
Proficient in SolidWorks and experienced with PDM and PLM systems.
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with change control, documentation, and product lifecycle management.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
