Team8 Cyber Fintech Stealth Mode Startup-Senior Fraud Intelligence Analyst

We are a stealth startup led by experienced founders, backed by Team8, a leading VC firm, building AI-Powered scam prevention solutions and we’ve just secured seed funding!

We are looking for an experienced Fraud Intelligence Analyst to lead fraud prevention strategies, security research, and intelligence collection. This role requires expertise in fraud methodologies, scam intelligence, and regulatory collaboration to enhance our fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying, acquiring, and integrating new data sources (open-source, dark web, proprietary databases, fraud consortiums, etc.).
Building and managing intelligence pipelines to feed Charm’s platform
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for fraud prevention, providing guidance on emerging threats and best practices
Conduct research on scam techniques, vulnerabilities, and fraud trends.
Secure integrations with third-party fraud intelligence providers.
Produce intelligence reports and risk assessments.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in threat intelligence / fraud intelligence / financial crime, or security research
Experience sourcing, evaluating, and integrating intelligence data from multiple sources:
Strong background in data aggregation and database management (SQL, Python, or similar for data handling).

Deep understanding of fraud typologies, scam tactics, and regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with models, networks, and data science practices (advantageous but not required).
Strong analytical skills with experience in fraud detection methodologies and AI-driven fraud prevention.
Hands-on experience with fraud intelligence platforms and investigative tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
