Qualcomm implements rigorous development and quality procedures, compliant with automotive standards, with the QA department taking a critical role at the center of operations. QA engineers employ a range of manual and automated tools and technologies.

About the Position

As an experienced QA engineer at Qualcomm, you will:

Work closely with Software, Wireless (RF), Security and Product engineering teams on validation of internal and customer projects

Develop software and system test plans covering all aspects of the product

Design and execute manual and automated tests based on detailed requirements

Produce reports detailing the results and analysis of test executions

Analyze, identify, record and track bugs

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

5+ years of experience in manual and/or automated testing, including:

Analyzing requirements and acceptance criteria

Designing and implementing tests

Writing and executing test scripts

Implementing strict QA processes and methodologies

Experience in embedded/communication systems

Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to details

Excellent communication skills

Solid end-to-end system understanding

Self-learning skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be considered an advantage:

Linux / RTOS

Communication systems, specifically: RF, IEEE802.11 protocols, 3GPP protocols

Automotive, Aerospace or Medical quality standards and methodologies

Security and cryptography

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.
