Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead our technical team and drive innovation across data-driven projects. This role blends hands-on engineering leadership with strategic pre-sales engagement, making it ideal for a candidate who thrives in both technical execution and customer-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Own and execute technical pre-sales conversations with clients, translating business needs into scalable solutions
Oversee the development and delivery of complex data projects, ensuring high performance and reliability
Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with strategic goals
Act as a technical advisor in client engagements, supporting solution design, architecture, and integration
Maintain a 50/50 balance between hands-on engineering work and strategic pre-sales activities
Drive innovation and best practices in data engineering, architecture, and analytics
Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and technical success

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in data project development
Proven experience managing engineering teams or R&D departments and mentoring technical talent
Demonstrated success in leading pre-sales discussions and technical scoping with clients
Deep understanding of micro services, data pipelines, including architecture, ML models, LLM tuning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with business partners and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinker with hands-on capabilities and a passion for solving complex problems
