The Departments of Arts & Humanities, Social & Psychological Sciences, and Mathematics & Natural Sciences, in the School of Arts, Letters, and Sciences at the National University invite applications for part-time faculty with a specialization in the following areas:

Public Speaking
Effective College English
Introduction to Psychology
Advanced Composition
Introduction to Literature
Statistics and Probability

The anticipated start for these positions is Spring and Summer of 2025.

POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. The successful candidate will have the potential for a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. This position primarily works closely with the Faculty Course Lead and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.

Essential Job Duties:

Lead classroom sessions onsite and online.
Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
Maintain appropriate professional training and scholarly activities, when applicable.
Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited university in one of the general education fields sought or in a related field required.
At least 1 year of higher education teaching experience preferred.
Experience with both online and onsite teaching preferred.

Compensation Range:

: $26.63 - $28.89

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position.
