DevOps Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team and help us build the future of agriculture.

Prospera (a Valmot company) uses AI based image analysis and other data sensors to help farmers save time and optimize their yields. We do this by providing insights about plant growth, irrigation, diseases and nutrients. We design and build field-hardy weatherproof cameras, communications and control IoT devices, base stations that apply edge computing, integrate with satellite imagery, build beautiful state of the art mobile and web consumer applications as well as tooling applications, data analysis pipelines and complex workflows that enable agronomists, operations specialists, remote sensing scientists and ML researchers to work effectively together to deliver timely insights to farmers. We are really just getting started!

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps Engineering
5+ years of experience with AWS
1-2 years in leadership roles such as Team Lead, Scrum Master, or Tech Lead
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), container orchestration tools (EKS, ECS), cloud infrastructure, and other modern technologies
Experience with IaaS (Terraform) to implement scalable cloud environments and systems; service-oriented architectures and microservices; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems
Proven ability to develop and maintain CI/CD processes for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications, etc.
Deep understanding of cloud environments, networking, security, source control (git), etc.
Experience with Azure is an advantage
A development background is an advantage

Responsibilities:

Lead technology decisions, set direction and set standards for our DevOps engineering across multiple products, spanning AWS, Azure and Google clouds.
Lead 1-2 DevOps team members
Collaborate closely with developers to design, implement and maintain state of the art build and deployment solutions
Own and lead initiatives in cloud resource planning and allocation, deployment environments, networking, storage, security, CI/CD, and more
Maintain an existing infrastructure
Build infrastructure from the ground up for our new products
Manage the operations and monitoring of applications and infrastructure from dev to production
Ensure all environments meet scale and resiliency requirements
