If so, then this Threat Hunting Researcher position is the perfect opportunity for you.

At KELA, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our security team as a Threat Hunting Researcher. You’ll be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential threats and threat actors’ infrastructure before they can cause damage, playing a crucial role in keeping our intelligence one step ahead of the attackers.

Responsibilities
Analyze data: Dive deep into traffic logs, network activity, and endpoint data to uncover hidden patterns and anomalies indicative of malicious activity.
Investigate C2 servers: Analyze the behavior of Command and Control (C2) servers, understand their infrastructure, and track attacker movements.
Hunt for threats: Proactively identify and investigate suspicious activity across our network and systems, leveraging security tools and your expert knowledge.
Use reverse engineer tools: Uncover the functionality and purpose of malware and attacker tools, piecing together the bigger picture of their operations.
Generate reports: Create comprehensive reports detailing your investigations, including threat indicators, attacker TTPs, and recommendations for mitigation.
Skills & Qualifications
Passion for cybersecurity: You have a genuine interest in understanding cyber threats and staying ahead of attackers.
Deep technical expertise: Proficiency in analyzing network traffic, logs, and malware samples.
Excellent analytical skills: Able to identify patterns, anomalies, and hidden connections within large datasets.
Strong investigative skills: A natural curiosity and drive to uncover the truth behind suspicious activity.
Solid scripting skills: Familiarity with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automating tasks.
Communication skills: Ability to clearly document findings, present technical information to non-technical audiences, and collaborate effectively.
Experience with threat hunting frameworks and methodologies- Advantage
Knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering techniques- Advantage
Understanding of attacker tools and techniques (MITRE ATT&CK framework)- Advantage
Experience in security research and threat intelligence gathering- Advantage
