Backend Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing security startup that is simplifying and securing remote access for businesses. They are backed by top-tier VCs like BOND and WndrCo, as well as the founders of Dropbox. With a recent $42M Series B raise, they have ample funding to build the next-generation, cloud-native Zero Trust solution for a distributed workforce.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for one Backend Data Engineer to play a lead role in scaling their data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in handling massive data ingestion and building the foundation for data analysis. You'll partner with the product and engineering teams to shape solutions and drive key initiatives. This is an exciting chance to join a small, exceptionally smart team and make a significant impact in the high-growth cybersecurity industry.

You will be responsible for:

Building and scaling data ingestion pipelines to handle hundreds of gigabytes per day.
Taking full ownership of data analysis and export infrastructure.
Collaborating with product and engineering teams to define and implement solutions.

Requirements

We are seeking a senior backend engineer with a strong background in data platforms and distributed systems. The ideal candidate has a high degree of agency, a bias for fast execution, and a proven track record of owning projects end-to-end.

Must-Haves:

6+ years of relevant experience in backend or data platforms.
Experience building scalable distributed backend systems.
Deep understanding of distributed computing, with hands-on experience in Kafka, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch.
Strong backend fundamentals in GCP, Python, and Kubernetes.
Must be an Israeli citizen and based in Israel.
Willingness to work in a hybrid model (2–3 days a week in the Tel Aviv office).
CS, Computer Engineering, or related technical field degree

Bonus Points:

Experience in the security space.
A background with a proven ability to lead projects.

Benefits

Salary: $125,000–$200,000
