Evogene (NASDAQ: EVGN, TASE: EVGN.TA), a leading biotechnology company developing novel products for life science markets using a unique computational predictive biology platform, is seeking an Agronomist to join its Plant Growth team.

The team is responsible for a wide variety of crops, grown in climate-controlled greenhouses and net greenhouses, studying crop response to different environmental conditions, and developing agronomic solutions.

What are you going to do:

Perform various agricultural tasks (propagation, planting, spraying, harvesting, etc.).
Design, supervise, and conduct agronomic experiments.
Work with diverse groups and several systems according to the company’s needs.
Responsible for greenhouse control systems, agrotechnical equipment and facilities.
Knowledge of Phyto sanitation and QA.

Successful candidates will have experience in:

Proven agricultural experience; having an academic degree – a significant advantage.
Practical experience of at least two years in a commercial company in one of the following areas: development, seeds, crop protection, or commercial greenhouse management.
Skilled in executing agricultural experiments.
Experience with a wide variety of crop growth – a significant advantage.
Driving license.
Skilled in executing agricultural experiments.
Knowledge of Office applications.
Willingness to work in the field or greenhouse in variable weather conditions.
