Performance Copywriter

About Us: Finaloop is a hyper-growth fintech startup, developing the leading accounting solution for DTC brands. We support over a thousand 7- and 8-figure brands, and with our recent $35M Series A funding in June 2024, we're on a mission to become a key player in the SMB DTC ecosystem. Our goal is to empower brand owners with always-accurate financials, optimizing profitability responsibly.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced performance-oriented Copywriter to join our Brand team. This role focuses on creating compelling, marketing-driven short copy content that drives engagement and conversions. You will work on a variety of projects including sales and product collaterals, newsletters, email marketing, landing pages, ads, event materials, press releases, social media content, website copy, video scripts, the occasional blog, and more.

The ideal candidate is a mature, self-starting, and motivated professional who can carry a project from A to Z. This is not the kind of passive brief-fulfilling role some copywriters look for. Here, we'll need the copywriter to push stakeholders forward, identify opportunities, drive production, and help instill high standards of performance copywriting across the go-to-market division.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop engaging and persuasive copy for a range of marketing materials as described above.

Collaborate closely with the Head of Brand and other team members to ensure copy aligns with Finaloop's brand voice and marketing objectives.

Craft concise, impactful messaging that resonates with our SMB DTC and space target audience.

Work cross-functionally with Design, Sales, Product Marketing, and Product teams to create cohesive and effective marketing materials.

Edit and proofread copy to ensure high-quality and error-free content.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve our copywriting efforts.

Push stakeholders forward, identify opportunities, drive production, and help instill high standards of performance copywriting across the go-to-market division.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting, particularly in the tech industry.

Proven experience in creating marketing and sales-oriented copy, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.

In-depth understanding of marketing principles and the ability to craft copy that drives engagement and conversions.

A self-starter with the ability to manage their own projects. This is not the kind of passive brief-fulfilling role.

Experience in the SMB DTC/e-commerce space or the accounting space is highly preferred.

Exceptional copywriting skills, with strong editing and proofreading skills as well.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Native-level proficiency in English.
