About The Role

Traffic Insights is a new initiative and team within ThousandEyes with the charter to extend visibility beyond synthetic into cloud native networks infrastructure and traffic. The goal is to provide richer visibility and real traffic monitoring for cloud native networks that collects, measures, enriches, correlates, and visualizes real network traffic and flow data. With this data, ThousandEyes customers can gain insight into their cloud native networks traffic that enable them to troubleshoot and take actions based on these insights.

What You’ll Do

As a Test Automation Developer you will craft and develop test and automation infrastructure for the Cisco Application and endpoint Recognition Technology. Enabling network visibility for thousands of customers.

The technology involves Network and Controller logic as well as a Cloud service, providing analytics and automated decision making.

You will design and write test infra and test automation for the application and endpoint detection function, this involves full stack testing, as well as building/simulating complete network topologies.

You will mainly use Java and use innovative traffic injection technologies, virtualization technologies and more. Be responsible for the entire regression cycle of the product on various platforms, including alpha system testing that interacts with several components.

Constantly improve and champion our product's quality, demonstrate your own skills and grow new ones.

Minimum Qualifications

Hands-on coding experience with Java.

Knowledge of software testing practices, including test planning and test automation.

Automation development experience with experience with test automation frameworks including JSystem (or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

A curiosity of how technology works and how it can be broken.

Networking and/or clouds testing environments experience.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
