About this role

You will lead a team of talented engineers responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core data pipelines and entity repository for the company's clinical data. This includes ensuring data quality, reliability, and low-latency processing for 10s of thousands of events per minute, which are critical for our AI solutions and product offerings. The role involves scaling our data infrastructure both technically and in terms of functionality.

Responsibilities
Work as a hands-on technical leader within a highly-skilled development team, setting the standard for quality and performance.
You will have a leading role, central responsibility, and will be the owner for the design and development of our end-to-end clinical data pipeline, including ingestion, processing, storage, and access layers for clinical data.
Manage a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth, leading by example, and ensuring high team performance and collaboration.
Be trusted with autonomy, freedom and influence to design solutions and make technical decisions, in a critical position for the company’s growth.
Requirements
At least 8 years of hands-on experience in building complex, high-scale production systems in a developer or technical leadership capacity.
At least 2 years of formal managerial experience, leading a team of software or data engineers.
Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals – including data structures, object-oriented design, code optimization, and complexity analysis.
Hands-on experience in building production services end-to-end – including architecture design, research, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Cloud technologies expertise – AWS stack or equivalent, including serverless
Expertise with data pipeline technologies, streaming data architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub), and large-scale data storage (e.g., PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes).
Containers and Orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform - advantage.
Passion for building generic, robust, and highly-performant software architecture, with a love for clean code.
A “can-do” attitude and a strong sense of ownership

BSc/MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent - advantage
