R&D Team Lead

A company that leverages machine learning and analyzes large quantities of data to create trustworthy product recommendations is searching for an experienced and motivated Tech or Team Lead to join its R&D department. In this position, you will lead the company's R&D team, providing mentorship and guidance while setting goals to ensure the smooth operation of the systems running all the company's websites. As the team lead, you will be responsible for overseeing product development and output. Reporting directly to the VP R&D, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our company.

You'll be responsible for:

· Managing and developing a team of 6+ employees.

· Assistance in guiding and solving programming problems.

· Champion best practices in software development, ensuring code quality and security.

· Contribute to the team's growth by actively participating in technical and organizational improvements related to processes and infrastructure.

· Implementation of architecture at all stages of development (code | design | monitoring | scale).

· Recruiting and mentoring new developers.

· Responsible for dozens of websites across the world.

This is the perfect job for someone who has:

· Experience as a tech lead for several years or in your first years as a team lead and want to manage a larger group.

· 7+ years of experience in software development and knowledge of software architecture

· 1+ years' experience in managing a team of developers

· Experience with Node.js and server-side development for complex, high-scale applications- MUST

· Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and working with browsers- MUST

· Experience working with AWS.

· Knowledge of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and containers (Docker) – a definitive plus.

· Self-motivated, quick learner, and proactive individual with a can-do attitude.

· Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

· BSc or MSc in CS / Math / Elec. Engineering — a significant advantage.
