VP Tech Ops

We are seeking a hands-on VP Tech Ops to own and evolve our backend platforms, data infrastructure, DevOps, security, and internal IT operations.This role is foundational to Autobrains’ ability to securely build, train, validate, and operate state-of-the-art autonomous driving systems at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in operating secure, production-grade infrastructure in a data-intensive AI environment, while also leading and growing high-performing teams.Requirements:10+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, including leadership rolesProven experience leading and managing backend, DevOps, security, and IT functions in a production environmentStrong, hands-on background in data and infrastructure security, including implementing and passing ISO 27001 or comparable compliance frameworksDeep experience operating cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) alongside hybrid or on-prem environmentsHands-on expertise with Kubernetes, containerized systems, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormationSolid experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident management, and production operationsExperience managing corporate IT environments, identity and access management, and third-party vendorsStrong understanding of distributed systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and large-scale storage systemsExperience supporting AI or ML workloads and highly data-intensive systems is a strong advantageProven ability to balance hands-on execution with effective team leadership, ownership, and clear communicationResponsibilities:Own backend infrastructure, DevOps, security, and internal IT operations end-to-endDesign, build, and operate scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure supporting large-scale AI training, validation, and data pipelinesLead the architecture and operation of systems handling massive volumes of visual and multimodal dataEstablish and continuously improve DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, reliability, security, and cost optimizationDefine, implement, and enforce infrastructure and data security standards, policies, and controlsLead security compliance efforts, including implementation and successful audits of frameworks such as ISO 27001 and similar standardsManage corporate IT systems, access control, networking, endpoints, and external vendorsPartner closely with AI, algorithm, and R&D teams to support ML workflows and evolving compute and data needsDrive selection, adoption, and integration of cloud platforms, databases, DevOps tools, and third-party servicesDefine best practices for scalability, availability, resilience, and security across the organizationLead, mentor, and scale backend, DevOps, security, and IT teams
