Cost Accountant

•Responsible for standard cost updates or costing of new products •Review and analyze monthly variances to standard providing management commentary on key drivers •Periodically analyze inventory trends including changes in cost components of inventory(material,labor and OH) •Assist in month-end closing,closing journal entries,account reconciliations and financial schedule preparation •Monitor cycle count activities and reporting and coordinate physical inventory activities •Business Partner with Engineering in the review of manufacturing bills of material and methods of manufacturing to ensure accuracy and proper,consistent costing across sites. •Support successful launch of all new programs or product transfer with proper costs •Manage and execute the annual standard cost-setting process across all the BU plants •Manage operational accounting,finance-related policies,and the implementation of new standards and processes. •Drive quarterly balance sheet and P&L review meetings ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures and understanding key business drivers that impact financial results. •Interface with external auditors to ensure that all statutory and tax requirements are satisfied,and tax returns are filed timely and accurately in accordance with applicable laws and statutes. • BA in Economics/Accounting–Must • MBA–Advantage • Fluency in both spoken and written English. mandatory • SAP experience is mandatory. Modules CO, FI, MM, SD • Excel knowledge (at min': Pivot table, V/H lookups, Ifs) • Solid understanding of internal controls over financial reporting • Suited with exceptional communication and multi-tasking organizational and motivational skills. • Hands-on, hard-working, detail-oriented, high-integrity professional with a personable demeanor. • Strong problem-solving skills are critical to this position. • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills. • Advanced business acumen and judgment.
