Senior Frontend Developer- player team

Primis is at the forefront of video discovery and recommendation solutions. Our platform combines five different products, including a video player, management system, CMS & asset management tool, reporting system, and dashboards.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our comprehensive Video Player and other client-side solutions.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead some technical frontend development efforts and drive the enhancement of our Primis Player using vanilla JavaScript and other FE technologies such as React. You will also develop new and existing client-side solutions that will help us achieve our company goals. Your contributions will help revolutionize how video content is displayed, monetized, and analyzed.

Responsibilities:

Architecture and Development: Take ownership of the front-end architecture design and development for the Primis Player and other next-gen client products. Establish best practices, design patterns, and coding standards to ensure a high-quality codebase and maintainable architecture.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Lead code reviews, ensure adherence to frontend best practices, and promote continuous improvement.
User Experience Enhancement: Use your expertise in front-end development to enhance the user experience of our Primis Player. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces, streamline workflows, and optimize usability.
Technical Excellence and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices. Evaluate and introduce innovative solutions to improve frontend development processes, optimize performance, and ensure the scalability of the Primis Player.
Collaboration with Technology Leaders: Work closely with other Front-end and back-end engineers, product managers, and data analysts to align front-end development efforts with the overall platform strategy. Collaborate on architectural decisions, backend integration, and cross-functional initiatives.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to establish effective testing strategies and ensure a robust and stable platform. Participate in testing activities, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high code quality and reliability.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience as a frontend engineer, architect, or similar roles, focusing on complex client-side web development and solutions.
3 years of expertise in vanilla JavaScript (ES6+) - understanding of objects, prototypes, event handling and cross-browser challenges
2 years of expertise in React.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and familiarity with other frontend technologies such as Angular, Vue.js.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns and best practices.
Experience with web performance challenges, core web vitals optimizations, and security aspects.
Strong logical thinking skills and the ability to plan and implement complex systems in a browser environment.
Proven ability to architect scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.
BSc in Computer Sciences or equivalent- a significant advantage.
Proven track record of successfully leading front-end development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience with modern client testing tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and a collaboration-driven attitude.
