Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive QA Team Lead to lead our quality assurance efforts across multiple projects. In this role, you will be responsible for both managing a small team of QA engineers and contributing directly to test planning, execution, and automation. This is a great opportunity for a strong QA professional looking to expand their leadership experience while still being hands-on.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team members (QA Engineers, Testers).
Allocate QA resources effectively across projects and tasks. Apply risk-based testing approaches to prioritize test coverage effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Define, develop, and implement the overall QA strategy for projects
Create comprehensive test plans and test strategies outlining scope, approach, resources, and schedule.
Ensure QA strategy aligns with business objectives and development methodologies.
Establish, document, and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices, including those governing release validation.
Promote a culture of quality throughout the development organization. - Drive quality ownership across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements to post-release.
Define, track, and report on key quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (e.g., test coverage, defect density, test execution progress, escaped defects).
Define, implement and guide the test automation strategy, including framework selection, scope definition, and ROI analysis.
Hands-On Quality Ownership:
Actively design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
Own and execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing as needed.
Participate directly in release readiness, including post-deployment validation.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in testing with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Strong hands-on experience with testing web and/or mobile applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Proven ability to write and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with test automation tools and processes
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
Ability to balance team leadership with individual contributions.
