We are seeking a talented Automation & Cloud Systems Engineer to join our defence team.

The position is based in Netanya, full-time (on-site).

You’ll build and own automation workflows, internal tools, and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.

This is not an architect or traditional DevOps role – it’s for someone who can code, solve problems independently, and understands how their work fits into the bigger picture.

Responsibilities:

Build end-to-end automation workflows in cloud environments (AWS primary).
Develop and maintain internal tooling and reusable frameworks.
Own CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Set up observability: logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
Identify manual/fragile processes and automate them.
Consider system-wide impact in every change you make.

Requirements:

3–5 Years of Experience in Automation & Tooling Development.
Familiarity with one of the cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure).
Coding experience in at least one language (Python, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, or C++).
IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipeline experience.
Solid grasp of distributed systems and how services interact.
System-thinking mindset – you see beyond the immediate task.
Focus on reliability, stability, and maintainable code.
Nice to Have: Experience with LLM-based / intelligent automation.
Background in observability and performance optimization
Building internal platforms or reusable frameworks.
Security-oriented mindset and cloud security knowledge.
