VP R&D

We are seeking an accomplished VP R&D to lead our global software development teams, while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design through deployment and maintenance.
Lead , mentor, and scale high-performing global teams of software engineers, QA and DevOps (30+ people)
Establish and enforce engineering best practices.
Partner with Product Management to translate business needs into executable development plans.
Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of software products and platform enhancements.
Implement processes and KPIs that ensure predictability, quality, and performance in development.
Balance technical debt reduction with rapid delivery of new features.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stay current with emerging development and AI technologies to keep the organization competitive.
Champion adoption of tools and processes that improve velocity and quality.
Encourage an engineering mindset focused on building products for long-term sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

15+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
Proven track record of scaling and managing, global distributed software engineering teams.
Expertise in modern software development practices and tools, including AI.
Business acumen with the ability to align technology execution with company objectives.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with .Net technologies and AWS – an advantage
Experience in the telecommunications domain - an advantage.
