Embedded Firmware Team Leader

Our storage group is looking for an Embedded Firmware Team Leader. As part of Apple’s Storage Software group, you will lead a team of engineers who are developing firmware for storage components used across all of Apple’s products. The team is responsible for a diverse range of activities, including pre-silicon simulations, real-time operational firmware development, and post-silicon validation. As a hands-on manager, you will lead the team in all managerial and technical aspects and serve as a driving force for innovation and execution. Your responsibilities will further include representing the team and ensuring efficient cross-functional collaboration with other groups within Apple. Description

Work closely with hardware and system teams to accomplish firmware/hardware integration Represent the team in cross-functional forums, management meetings, and technical discussions Actively participate in the bring-up of new products, bringing up storage components for all new Apple products, from pre-silicon phase through post-silicon validation, and all the way to product release Drive problem resolution and debugging that occur during testing and mass production while collaborating with other groups in the organization

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded firmware design and implementation
Experience in managing small R&D teams
Experience and proficiency in C
