Senior Director Procurement

The Senior Director Procurement will lead and oversee the global indirect procurement strategy for a FinTech company operating across multiple entities.

This role will be responsible for optimizing procurement operations, driving cost efficiencies, ensuring compliance, and enhancing supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with deep expertise in global sourcing, contract negotiations, procurement technology, and risk management, capable of managing a geographically distributed team.

What you'll be spending your time on:

Develop and execute a global indirect procurement strategy aligned with the company's financial and operational objectives.
Manage and enforce procurement policies, governance, and compliance frameworks.
Lead and manage a global team of procurement professionals across multiple regions.
Maintain procurement best practices across multiple entities to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Manage and supervise procurement automation and digital transformation, ensuring seamless procurement operations.
Partner with finance, legal, IT, HR, and other business units to align procurement with company-wide goals.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring strategic partnerships that deliver value.
Oversee global contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance, ensuring favorable terms.
Manage supplier risk management initiatives to mitigate operational and financial risks.
Implement data-driven decision-making for procurement activities to enhance efficiency and visibility.

Have you done this kind of stuff?

10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Extensive experience managing indirect procurement in a FinTech, technology, or financial services environment.
Proven expertise in global sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
Strong understanding of procurement technology, digital procurement tools, and automation platforms.
Experience leading a global team and managing procurement across multiple entities.
Deep knowledge of procurement compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience in spend management and cost reduction strategies.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with procurement in a fast-scaling environment.
Familiarity with ERP and procurement software – Coupa, Zip and Microsoft Dynamics BC.
MBA or relevant procurement certifications (CPSM, CIPS, etc.).
