About the Role:

The Team:

The team covers a portfolio of Sovereigns, Local and Regional Governments, Social Housing Entities, Multilateral Institutions, and Government-Related entities, in EMEA.

The Impact:

The role’s main focus is on fundamental economic and financial analysis of local and regional governments and government related entities in Israel. You will provide our analysis to investors and markets.

Responsibilities:

Issuers: You will be the first and most important contact with the issuer handling the day-to-day analytical relationship. You will lead the meetings with clients’ top management and will prepare the materials and present to the S&P rating committee that determines the rating outcome.

Publications: You will publish high quality and forward-looking rating reports. In addition, you are expected to author or co-author high-quality research pieces on the sector.

Outreach: In coordination with the Sector Lead and Analytical Manager you will communicate our thought leadership and credit stories via appropriate channels (e.g., publications, speeches, conference presentations, media interviews, social media etc.).

Innovation: You are expected to absorb the dynamically changing parameters of the sectors’ analysis and include forward-looking views into your research and committee presentations. You identify internal innovation and process improvements to promote an ongoing amelioration of our work environment.

People: You are a team player promoting a positive team atmosphere as well as analytical and client service excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong skills in comparative economic and financial analysis, interest in public policy, and in financial markets in general.

Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to carry out economic and financial analysis in a cross-disciplinary context, and some knowledge of public sector accounting principles.

An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3-5 years’ experience in credit analysis.

Ideally hold a degree in economics or related fields such as business administration, finance or political science.

Having achieved the CFA/FRM or other financial qualification would be desirable but is not a prerequisite.

An ability to drive cross-practice cooperation and projects in a diverse and international environment.

An interest in public policy and economics, with an understanding of institutional, budgetary, and debt trends and issues in Israel.

The successful incumbent must be fluent in Hebrew and English.

The position requires occasional travel, mostly within Israel.
