Safety Assurance Expert

Mobileye is looking for a Safety Assurance Expert to our the Safety team developing novel approaches to assess and promote autonomous vehicle (AV) safety.
Safety is a core decision driver at the highest level of Mobileye development and business strategy, directly impacting project timelines and approval for our most advanced programs.
Demonstrating that an autonomous vehicle is safe is a cutting-edge challenge. It requires a deep understanding of the entire AV system, the development of robust methods and tools to support this goal, and active engagement with the automotive industry to build broad acceptance of our approach.
What Will Your Job Look Like?
Contribute to the development of a large-scale autonomous system from its early stages and see it through to deployment.
Take part in the safety assessment process, leading I1 assessments and defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AV system.
Propose and implement new methods and tools to support comprehensive safety evaluations.
Identify and analyze potential safety risks—such as those related to driver behavior—and develop strategies for mitigation.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the automotive industry to build broad acceptance of our safety methodology.
Work closely with customers and regulatory bodies on all aspects of safety assurance.
All You Need Is:
A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in the development or product management of complex, high-performance software or hybrid software-hardware systems.
Strong system-level reasoning and high-level analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for transforming the future of mobility and improving how people move
Experience in the automotive industry- an advantage
Deep understanding of safety standards and concepts such as ISO 26262, ISO/PAS 21448 (SOTIF), and UL 4600-an advantage
Proven expertise in designing and developing safety-critical systems-an advantage
Familiarity with safety analysis techniques such as hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and FTA-an advantage
