Safety Critical Linux Architect

Mobileye Autonomous Driving software group is looking for a safety expert with strong knowledge in the Linux Operating System. As a Linux Operating System Safety architect, you will be responsible to define the operating system safety concept and the implementation of all safety mechanism within the Linux Operating system, both at the Kernel level and the user space level. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work with highly talented Linux OS team and be a leader in the definition of the Linux as a platform for the Safety Critical Automotive industry.
What will your job look like?
Researching and defining the Safety Concept for Mobileye’s Safety Critical Linux based on the industry standards including ISO 26262 & ISO/PAS 8926.
Designing and Implementing the Safety mechanism with the Linux Kernel subsystems.
Leading the safety discussions with Mobileye’s Safety Team and the audits with the external safety auditors.
Performing performance analysis and optimization to minimize the impact of the safety mechanisms on the overall system behavior.
Implementing PoC to verify new safety mechanisms.
Work with SW Simulators and implement new modules to enable Safety analysis
All you need is:
Very strong experience in the Linux Kernel architecture, OS Internals and subsystems (Memory Management, IO, Storage, Networking)
Deep understanding of the leading Automotive Safety standards and the Safety development lifecycle.
Strong experience in Performance Analysis and Debugging techniques.
Experience with HW architectures (MIPS & RISCV) and their implementation in the operating system is a big advantage.
Experience in implementing user space applications in Linux.
Experience with Safety audits - advantage
