Research Assistant

Groundwork BioAg is a leading ag-tech startup specializing in the production of mycorrhizal fungi inoculants for agriculture. We are expanding our microbiology team and seeking a Research Assistant to join our team as a junior microbiologist.

*Responsibilities:*

* Support R&D trials- planning, executing, documenting and analyzing results, in lab and field.
* Lab operation: equipment, preparation of growth media and solutions, bacterial isolation, identification and count.
* Develop and perform various biochemical tests.
* Read and review scientific literature.
* Support all tasks required.

*Qualifications:*

* Master’s degree in Microbiology or Agriculture, Food and Environment
* OR bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in a microbiology lab.
* Willingness to work both in the laboratory and in the field.
* Experience operating lab equipment and lab work and Strong technical skills.
* Experience working in sterile conditions

· Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and general tech aptitude.

* Professionalism, accuracy, high organizational skills, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability and desire to learn quickly.
* High level of English.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Willingness to work overtime.
* Ability to commute independently to Mazor.
