The Junior / Trainee Instrument Technician supports the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems used in oil and gas operations. This role is designed for entry-level candidates and focuses on developing technical skills while working under close supervision of senior technicians, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.

Assist senior technicians with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments such as:

Pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters

Control valves, actuators, and positioners

Analyzers and basic control systems.

Fire and Gas Detection and Protective Systems

Requirements:
Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation principles.

Willingness to work in oil & gas operating environments, 14 day shifts and site-based work.

Technical diploma, vocational training, or apprenticeship in:

Instrumentation

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

Automation or related discipline

Ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams.

Good communication and documentation skills.
