Principal Architect

We are looking for a Principal Architect who combines deep technical mastery with product sensibility, business understanding, and organizational insight. This is a senior individual-contributor role with broad influence and high visibility across engineering, product, and leadership.

You will shape the architecture of our platform across multiple domains, drive strategic technical decisions, and partner with cross-functional leaders to align architectural direction with product, business, and organizational goals.

You are not just a technologist - you are a systems thinker who understands how technology enables outcomes, how teams and organizations scale, and how product strategy and technical strategy intersect.

What Youll Do

Architectural Ownership & Thought Leadership

Lead architecture across core domains, such as:
Distributed systems at massive scale
Streaming and real-time data pipelines
Query engines, analytics, and data processing
Storage architectures and object-store-based systems
SaaS control planes and high-scale multi-tenancy
Anticipate systemic needs, identify opportunities, and drive architectural initiatives end-to-end - from design through alignment and delivery
Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner for senior engineering, product, and executive stakeholders
Cross-Functional Impact

Translate product and business strategy into architectural trade-offs and decisions
Help define the how behind ambitious organizational outcomes (e.g., performance, reliability, cost efficiency, developer velocity at petabyte-scale)
Mentor and influence engineers across teams to elevate architectural quality and execution
Organizational Intelligence in Practice

Embody an integrative perspective: understand technology constraints, product priorities, customer problems, and organizational dynamics
Help shape how the company thinks about architecture as a strategic asset - not just a technical discipline
