We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team.
Youll tackle complex challenges at the intersection of backend development, scale and data - building and optimizing algorithms that power our marketplace.
What will you do?
Design, develop, and optimize backend solutions that implement scalable, efficient algorithmic solutions.
Solve complex performance and low-latency challenges for data-heavy, high-throughput distributed systems.
Collaborate with data scientists, product, and other backend engineers to research, develop, and deploy end-to-end solutions that drive global business KPIs.
Ensure that all backend systems are tested, optimized, and continuously monitored
Develop a strong understanding of the business to provide high-impact solutions to our stakeholders.

Requirements:
What will you bring to the team?
5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
Deep proficiency in Java/Scala and Python
Operational excellence: release management, observability, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in production.
Strong foundation in system design, working with large-scale, high-throughput, distributed systems, including processing and analyzing large-scale data.
Analytical and experimental mindset - you validate ideas with data before investing heavily in development.
Commitment to Quality: clean, performant, and thoroughly tested code.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you listen actively, explain decisions clearly, and enjoy sharing knowledge.
