Embedded Software Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for developing and optimizing low-level software and firmware for cutting-edge depth sensing, computer vision, robotics, and AI technologies. You will work closely with hardware, software, and algorithm teams to bring innovative sensing solutions to life.

Location – We work 4 days a week in our Haifa site

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for RealSense depth and vision products
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new platforms and sensors
• Implement and optimize drivers and middleware for real-time performance
• Conduct system-level debugging and performance tuning
• Support firmware integration with host-side software stacks
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration processes

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in embedded firmware development, including bare-metal and/or RTOS-based environments
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ with solid understanding of low-level hardware interactions, memory management, and real-time constraints
• Experience with embedded debugging tools and techniques (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Proficiency in development tools such as git, shell scripting, and GCC/Clang toolchains
• Familiarity with hardware bring-up, BSP development, and working closely with hardware teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Linux kernel development, including writing and maintaining device drivers
• Knowledge of kernel architecture, subsystems, and debugging tools such as KGDB, strace, kdump, and kernel tracing utilities
• Familiarity with the Linux community and upstream kernel development process
• Demonstrated experience with device drivers on Nvidia Jetson Xavier/Orin platforms
• Expertise in V4L modules for camera streaming and integration
