we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our new Platform Infrastructure team.
In this foundational role, youll help build the shared backend systems, frameworks, and tooling that power every product across the company.

Build for builders: Design and develop the backend infrastructure that other teams will rely on - from shared services and APIs to internal developer tools and performance optimizations.
Engineer at scale: Work across modern backend stacks, building reusable systems that balance flexibility with consistency.
Drive technical standards: Partner with tech leads, designers, and developers across the company to define best practices and guide architectural decisions.
Lead by example: Mentor other engineers, support their growth, and help raise the overall bar for backend quality and maintainability.

Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js in a production environment.
Proven experience designing or maintaining shared backend systems (e.g., internal tooling, platform-level services, microservices, or APIs).
Strong understanding of application architecture, performance, and scalability in production.
Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) - including deploying, managing, and scaling backend services.
Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including designing schemas, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity.
Experience working on internal platforms or infrastructure initiatives is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively across teams, and mentor other engineers.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and building for performance, reliability, and security.
A passion for clean code, developer experience, and helping teams move faster with better tools.
