We are seeking a hands-on VP R D Manager to join an early-stage startup developing AI-based computer vision software for automation and robotics.
This role reports directly to the CEO and plays a central part in building both the product and the R D organization from the ground up. You will lead a small, high-quality team (currently 5 engineers, growing to ~10), stay close to the code, conduct reviews, and personally guide architecture and technical decisions.
The company works with global industrial leaders across medical devices, defense space, automotive, and electronics.

Proven experience managing small R D teams
Strong expertise in computer vision, AI, algorithms, and software architecture
Hands-on leader suited for an early-stage startup
Experience in industrial software domains
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
7+ years of R D and leadership experience
