Learn more at www.tolunacorporate.comAbout the roleThis is a highly complex and unique hybrid role where deep expertise in cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Terraform) and modern DevOps patterns is fused with the rigor of a true software developer. You will be pivotal in designing and delivering a sophisticated internal development platform - composed of high-quality applications, complex REST APIs, and event-driven systems - while defining the standards for long-term maintainability and performance across our distributed systemsResponsibilitiesDesign and develop robust internal applications, web portals (BE/FE), both REST and event-driven systems that constitute the core internal development platform.Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modulesDesign, build, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWSSupport and evolve microservices-based systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainabilityMaintain observability solutions, including metrics, logs, and tracing (Datadog)Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed systems, including networking, infrastructure, and application layersCollaborate closely with software engineering teams to support scalable and reliable service deliveryParticipate in architecture discussions and technical design reviewsImprove system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency RequirementsOpen-minded and collaborative team player, able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated proficiency in applying software development principles, design patterns, and testing practices to deliver high-quality, clean, and long-term maintainable application code.Familiarity with agentic AI / AI-driven automation, including autonomous workflows and LLM-based tooling in both Software development and DevOpsStrong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (compute, networking, storage, IAM)Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practicesAt least 5 years Experienced in:One or more of Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, GoBash, PowerShellLinux and WindowsExperience building and operating microservices architecturesStrong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancers, and DNSExperience with containerization technologies (Docker / ECS)Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or Elasticsearch, with a strong understanding of tag-based data modeling, filtering, and querying.Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed systemsStrong communication skills and ability to work across engineering teams Nice to haveBackground in software development, including understanding of design patterns and application architectureFamiliarity with deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling deployments)Familiarity with FinOps / cloud cost optimization, including cost visibility and resource efficiency practicesEducation and past experienceDegree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceWorked as a software developer (preferably backend)Experience as a devops engineer (preferably on AWS stack)Experience with large-scale, microservices, web systemsExperience with international teams Our Values:Acting with Ownership: Demonstrating individual accountabilityBringing a Forward Mindset: Being action-oriented, bold & entrepreneurialCollaborating with Curiosity: Exhibiting teamwork through togethernessDiscussing openly, committing jointly: Sharing your views openlyEmbracing Empathy: Being egoless & caringWhat we Offer:At Toluna, we’re all about creating a welcoming, diverse workplace where everyone can thrive.
