We are looking for a Kernel Engineer.
Work with a highly skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and support of kernel technologies across all Apple products
Work with a highly skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and support of kernel technologies across all Apple products
Requirements:
Education: A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and skills
Proven creative and critical thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills
Proven track record in designing for testability and developing well-tested solutions
Proficiency in C/C++
Familiarity with at least one scripting language
Experience working in a kernel environment, or equivalent concurrent systems.
Familiarity with modern processor architecture (e.g., memory hierarchy, multicore, multithreading, etc.)
Highly professional, with the ability to multitask and deliver proven work on tight schedules
Genuine passion for operating systems technologies
Preferred Qualifications
In-depth understanding of kernel internals
iOS or macOS exposure
Darwin/Linux/BSD/UNIX kernel experience.
Ability to break down large problems into testable sub-components
Experience in adjacent technologies a plus, e.g., firmware developers, driver writers, file systems.
