we are seeking a skilled and passionate Data Scientist. At Windward, we are dedicated to creating a safer, more transparent, frictionless, and efficient maritime industry. Our mission is safeguarding maritime domains with AI technology that makes the right action easy, empowering responsible governance and secure global trade for a better world.
What will you do?
Develop and implement a variety of models (e.g., LLM, predictive models, classifiers, time series) on both public and proprietary data
Lead projects from ideation to production, ensuring solutions are effective in real-world scenarios and monitored for quality over time
Collaborate with product managers to understand problems and define solutions
Contribute to the research environment in order to improve the flexibility and quality of delivery
What will you do?

Requirements:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in implementing machine learning algorithms
Strong understanding of ML concepts, including deep learning
Proficient in Python and experienced in bringing ideas to production, including coding, testing, and monitoring
Excellent communication skills and working fluency in English
Pragmatic problem solver who knows to choose the most practical solution not the most popular one
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
