The Apple VLSI SoC design team is looking for an expert engineer to develop Apple's SoCs high speed serial bus design. Role expectations include working with partner Design teams, Physical design, verification, Platform Architecture and Software teams to define the micro architecture, implement the required HW and integrate it to a complex multi chip system. In this position, you will contribute to the development of the next generation of Apple Silicon high-speed serial bus designs. You will define the unit-level uArch specification, implement hardware, including RTL and UPF coding, synthesize the digital design to the latest process nodes, and participate in the implementation process.

Your responsibilities in this role may include: Defining micro-architecture specifications at the unit level RTL coding, block-level simulations, Formal Verification and synthesis Collaborating closely with the verification team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs Collaborating with the physical design team to optimize the design and meet the targets set for a specific unit (area, timing, and power)

Minimum Qualifications

5+ proven experience in digital design (preferably in SoC)
Familiar with advanced design practices (clock/voltage domain crossing, low power design and DFT or equivalent experience) - Advantage
Familiar with various chip development tools (e.g. lint, synthesis, STA)
Familiar with verification methodologies
Strong Verilog/System Verilog skills
Experienced with scripting using common languages (e.g. Python, Perl, TCL)

Preferred Qualifications

- BS.c in Electrical Engineering
- MS.c PhD - advantage
