Data Engineer – AI & Agent Readiness

What You’ll Do:

Build, maintain, and optimize robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support real-time and batch data processing
Explore and assess existing structured and unstructured data across the company to evaluate its readiness for AI-driven use cases
Collaborate with product and AI stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into data preparation strategies
Identify key entities, relationships, enrichment needs, and gaps in the data to enable agent-based automation
Create documentation and recommendations to guide AI engineers and product teams in data consumption
Support seamless data integration and transformation to enable Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication across smart products
Stay up to date with emerging tools in data engineering and AI to continuously improve infrastructure and capabilities

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or similar role
2+ years of experience working with Python (e.g., pandas, PySpark, data manipulation)
3+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and managing analytical data stores
Proven experience with data exploration, data mapping, and value projection — especially in the context of AI/ML product needs
Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, Prefect, or similar
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Iceberg, ClickHouse, or equivalents
Experience working in modern CI/CD environments, with infrastructure-as-code, Git workflows, and version-controlled data flows
Ability to clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and data limitations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points if you have:

Exposure to LLMs, AI Agents, or related concepts (e.g., embeddings, vector databases, knowledge graphs)
Experience working with Kafka or similar streaming technologies
Background as a Data Analyst or BI Developer, with strong analytical thinking
Experience in high-frequency transactional or real-time product environments (e.g., sports data, finance, betting)
