TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality that utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death.
our company's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe, and Israel.
we have ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other types of solid cancers.
We are looking for IP Counsel, Strategy and Innovation Collaboration who will develop a proactive pre-clinical and clinical innovation strategy to support the growth of our companys multi-indication oncology pipeline through the creation of strategic IP assets.
This role demands close collaboration with our companys senior leaders, internal innovation teams, academic institutions, and other external partners.
The ideal candidate will operate with confidence, creativity, and autonomythriving at the intersection of cutting-edge oncology innovation and strategic IP value creation.
In this role you will engage with leading Tumor Treating Fields researchers, distill complex legal issues into actionable business insights, and represent our companys IP interests with authority in high-stakes legal negotiations.
This is a full-time, exempt position that will report to Senior Director, Lead IP Counsel and will be located in one of R&D center, Haifa, Israel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish, in close collaboration with internal research partners, a proactive IP strategy designed to create and capture early-stage discoveries that maximize future clinical value.
Drive internal, on-site innovation initiatives with high visibility to Senior Leadership.
Represent our company in IP matters involving external clinical and pre-clinical collaboration partners.
Oversight over our companys Clinical and Pre-Clinical IP portfolio along with all day-to-day tasks related thereto.
Partner closely with commercial and business development teams to identify inventions, align IP strategy with business goals, and provide proactive legal guidance.
Oversee global patent applications related to the Companys technology/businesswith an emphasis on clinical and pre-clinical discoveries.
Set strategic IP priorities; evaluate and challenge competitor IP; conduct FTO and infringement assessments; initiate oppositions; and manage litigation as needed.
Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licensing, clinical trial, and material transfer agreements.
Develop and implement company policies and procedures related to patents and trade secrets.
Conduct IP due diligence to support business development and strategic growth opportunities.
Act as general legal liaison with respect to regions and/or countries in which the Company operates.
Support trademark acquisition and portfolio management in collaboration with the Lead IP Counsel.
Manage and coordinate external counsel to ensure high-quality and cost-effective legal services.
