Ogen is looking for a skilled and motivated Grants Writer to join our Resource Development team. This full-time position is based in Jerusalem and plays a vital role in securing and maintaining philanthropic partnerships, both in Israel and abroad.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Resource Development Manager, the Grants Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality donor materials and managing the full grant cycle. This includes letters of intent (LOIs), proposals, reports, and ongoing communications with foundations and donors, in coordination with Ogens Israel-based and North American teams.
Key Responsibilities-
As Ogens Grants Writer, you will:
- Draft compelling English-language grant materials across the full lifecycleLOIs, proposals, reports, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with internal departments to collect information and data necessary for accurate, timely reporting and proposals.
- Extract and analyze data from Salesforce and dashboards to support reports with accurate numbers and insights.
- Build and maintain internal dashboards to improve reporting efficiency and clarity.
- Conduct prospect research and help develop fundraising strategies.
- Create donor-ready marketing and fundraising content aligned with our mission and priorities.
- Foster and empower collaboration with teammates, offering support and sharing knowledge.
- Be open to guidance and feedback, and able to work well in a managed structure.
Job Status: Full-time | Location: Jerusalem (hybride).
This Role Is Right for You If You:
- Have proven success in writing winning grant proposals, donor reports, and related communications.
- Possess excellent written and spoken English (native-level preferred) and are fluent in Hebrew.
- Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have strong numerical literacy.
- Work well in a team and enjoy empowering others to succeed.
- Are a proactive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across departments.
- Thrive in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
- Understand and/or are eager to learn about the Jewish philanthropic landscape.
- Embody high ethical standards and professional integrity.
