Embedded Python Developer

abra R&D is seeking an Embedded Python Developer to join our team. We are looking for a strong Python Software Engineer to develop the application layer of a multidisciplinary autonomous drone system. You will work on the drone’s main onboard computer, building high-level logic, integrating algorithms, and creating communication and control flows across multiple subsystems. This role combines software engineering, system-level thinking, and close collaboration with hardware and algorithm teams. Responsibilities Develop application-level and high-level control logic for an autonomous platform Design and implement management modules and integrate external algorithms (SO/DLL) Implement and maintain communication flows using protocols such as UDP, REST, DBS, and CTP Build and maintain robust data and control pipelines across multiple subsystems Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (systems, electronics, algorithms) Participate in system integration, lab validation, and field testing when required B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of hands-on development experience in Python Strong proficiency in Python (OOP and system-oriented development) Practical experience working in Linux environments Mandatory experience with Docker and Docker Compose Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UDP, REST) Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments involving hardware and algorithms Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
