VP R D to lead our scientific and engineering innovation efforts. Reporting to the CEO, execution from early discovery through prototyping and transfer to product development. lead a multidisciplinary team of chemists, materials scientists, and engineers to drive breakthrough advances in electrochemical technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the company's R D roadmap aligned with strategic goals
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing technical team
Translate scientific insights into scalable technologies and IP
Manage research programs, timelines, and budgets
Cultivate a rigorous, data -driven innovation culture
Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to align R D with commercialization needs

Requirements:
Advanced degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of industry experience, with at least 35 years in a technical leadership role
Strong understanding of the path from lab-scale discovery to product deployment
Experience in hiring, managing, and developing technical teams
Demonstrated success in generating IP and/or transferring technology to product
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Bonus Points
Proven track record of leading high-impact R D in electrochemistry, catalysis, batteries, fuel cells, or electrolyzers
Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company
Experience with scale-up, pilot testing, or tech-to-market transition
Familiarity with techno-economic analysis and regulatory frameworks for energy technologies
Advanced degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of industry experience, with at least 35 years in a technical leadership role
Strong understanding of the path from lab-scale discovery to product deployment
Experience in hiring, managing, and developing technical teams
