Director of R&D

We are looking for a Director of R&D to lead and optimize the user experience across web and mobile platforms.
This strategic role requires a deep technical background in frontend development, mobile technologies, and backend development on AWS, alongside a proven ability to manage globally distributed engineering teams.
As a key member of the R&D leadership team, you will oversee the Mobile, Web, and Account & App Integration teams, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and scalable digital experience. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will drive innovation, cross-team collaboration, and best-in-class development practices.
Responsibilities
Define and implement the Core Experience strategy, focusing on scalability, performance, and usability.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
Oversee frontend and mobile development (iOS/Android), ensuring best practices, high-quality code, and seamless integration.
Optimize AWS-based backend infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Manage and scale globally distributed teams, including offshore development resources.
Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, and Design teams to enhance user engagement and retention.
Define and track key performance metrics (OKRs), analyze user behavior, and drive continuous improvements.
Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance user experience.
Develop and execute team growth strategies, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
Oversee budgets and resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
