As VP of R D, you'll lead our physical-optical/photonic research teams, driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team specializing in advanced optical, photonic, and laser systems. A recognized leader in this field is essential.
Hardware Development: Drive end-to-end development of novel laser-based processing units, from concept to deployment.
Technology Innovation: Direct the design and development of high-power laser systems, optical processing architectures, and integrated photonic components for optimal performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team specializing in advanced optical, photonic, and laser systems. A recognized leader in this field is essential.
Hardware Development: Drive end-to-end development of novel laser-based processing units, from concept to deployment.
Technology Innovation: Direct the design and development of high-power laser systems, optical processing architectures, and integrated photonic components for optimal performance and scalability.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Experimental Physics, Applied Physics, Electro-Optics, or a related field - Must.
Masters degree in Optical Experiments, Lab Work, and Measurements.
Proven experience managing teams of 15+ engineers and researchers, preferably in a start up.
7+ years as a senior director, VP, or CTO in the Optical/Photonic/Laser industry, with a track record of managing complex hardware development and high-performing teams. Security clearance - a plus.
Extensive experience developing high-power laser systems, optical processing architectures, and related complex physical systems.
Strong experience in algorithm development and optimization for complex physical hardware.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, innovative solutions.
Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills.
