Director of Technology

As Director of Technology, you will spearhead early-stage technology development for Sapios, building and scaling our human-machine interface. You're a champion in real-time data processing and AI and you're driven to build a system that helps protect and empower our soldiers. For the right person, this role could evolve into CTO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be a technical leader in an early-stage startup, working closely with the CEO to bring the product to launch
* Lead design, development, and deployment of the Sapios platform from ground zero, including mobile applications, system architecture, and data/AI frameworks
* Ensure the platform meets stringent security and data privacy standards for defense applications
* Lead field testing with elite operators and iterate on feedback to improve product features

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior engineering role
* Proven experience leading engineering projects, ideally in defense, AI, or IoT/wearables
* Proficient in Python and TensorFlow (or PyTorch) with mobile deployment
* Proficient in cloud computing architectures e.g. AWS

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Experience with real-time data processing, edge computing, and sensor integration
* Expertise in secure system architecture and compliance with government/defense standards
* Familiarity with cross-platform mobile app development e.g. Flutter/React Native
* Proven reliability and ability to handle confidential information
* Ability to thrive in the chaos of an early-stage startup
* Prior military service is a bonus: we love veterans

LOCATION:

This is a hybrid role and applicants must be located in or willing to relocate to Tel Aviv, Israel. Some travel will be required.

Pay: 30,000.00₪ - 45,000.00₪ per month
