Youll be leading a team of developers responsible for the companys main website (WordPress) and other critical internet assets. This team plays a pivotal role in maintaining, developing, and optimizing the companys digital presence. The role involves managing and contributing to development, implementing efficient workflows, overseeing hosting and deployment processes, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the success of the companys online platforms.
Responsibilities
Direct, guide and oversee all technical aspects of the website of the company, to ensure continued growth.
Guide and mentor the development team, supporting both technical and personal growth.
Oversee development processes and maintain coding standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide effort estimates, and align goals.
Ensure the timely delivery of projects while maintaining high quality.
Supervise the maintenance of existing systems, optimize performance, and address technical challenges proactively.
Promote the adoption of new tools, technologies, and workflows to improve productivity and performance.

Extensive experience in developing and maintaining custom themes and plugins, including using plugins like ACF and WPML.
Familiarity with Gutenberg and creating custom blocks.
Experience with workflows and frameworks like Roots Bedrock, Composer, and WP-CLI.
Proficiency in PHP with a strong understanding of writing clean, maintainable code, debugging, and managing MySQL databases.
Expertise in TailwindCSS, React, and modern JavaScript.
Advanced proficiency in Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and resolving merge conflicts.
Experience in configuring and maintaining hosting environments, with proficiency in SSH and working in terminal environments.
Knowledge of web performance techniques, such as reducing load times, asset optimization, lazy loading, and caching strategies.
Solid understanding of web security principles and strategies to secure applications and environments.
