Job Description
As a Backend Engineer on our team, you'll focus on building and improving Astra Nova, the internal AI-powered development assistant that serves our development teams. You'll develop advanced LLM-based solutions for both offline and AI-Human pair programming workflows. In your day-to-day, you will:
Design and implement advanced prompting strategies utilizing multiple LLM architectures, including sophisticated chains, few-shot learning, and Chain-of-Thought techniques, to enable code analysis and generation at scale across Astra's features
Develop sophisticated AI workflows combining various LLM providers (Anthropic, META, Google, OpenAI) to power intelligent code understanding, generation, and review automation
Build advanced context-aware AI agents for both interactive and headless modes, supporting the full development lifecycle from coding to PR reviews and repository maintenance
Research and implement cutting-edge LLM techniques to continuously improve Astra's capabilities, focusing on code understanding accuracy, generation quality, and system reliability
Design and implement advanced RAG techniques for efficient code context retrieval and knowledge integration across multiple repositories.
