The File Solutions team provides a set of fully managed file services for Enterprise and High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI/ML customers addressing workloads such as SAP, stateful GKE applications, Fintech, Life Sciences, etc.
The team facilitates seamless migration to cloud, hybrid cloud solutions, and seamless integration with other File solutions and GCP solutions and services.
The team goal is to be the authoritative one stop shop for all file solutions in theCloud Platform serving large-scale strategic customers, and managing hundreds of customer data, while maintaining the highest performance, scale, reliability, usability, quality, and observability as well as ownership of the whole file portfolio, whether built from the ground up internally or via integration with third-party and open source technologies. Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
Drive the technical direction, roadmap and detailed planning alongside the engineering manager.
Design and architect scalable, resilient, and performance distributed file system backend for Filestore.
Define and monitor quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensure production best practices are met (Service level objectives (SLOs), Service level indicators (SLIs), monitoring, alerts, mitigations, etc.), tech debts are addressed, and architecture is reliable and robust and meets our standards for a 1P managed service.
