youll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our content acquisition strategy, working with diverse content partners to deliver engaging articles, videos, games, and more to millions of smartphone users worldwide.
What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?
Content Acquisition Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content acquisition plan to meet the diverse needs of global audiences across multiple countries and languages.
Identify and secure new content providers, managing a robust sales pipeline aligned with our strategic goals.
Partnership Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, product, and content operations) to align on content needs and achieve performance objectives.
Team Management
Lead and manage the content partnership team, optimizing existing partnerships, conducting QBRs, and negotiating renewals on favorable terms.
Performance and Analytics:
Monitor content ingestion and performance, identifying trends, addressing technical challenges, and proposing optimization strategies to maximize engagement and revenue.
Provide regular performance analysis to identify revenue opportunities and areas for improvement.
Revenue and Forecasting:
Meet quarterly revenue targets, provide detailed forecasts, and identify new content opportunities, such as emerging content types (e.g., video, stories) or additional languages, in collaboration with product and operations teams.
Reporting and Support:
Generate detailed client reports on key performance metrics, working with R&D to enhance reporting capabilities.
Support financial processes, including invoicing, payments, and billing details.
Proven Business Development Expertise:
5-8+ years of experience in business development, working with SMB and enterprise clients.
Industry Knowledge:
Prior experience in the VAS or content syndication industry.
Strong understanding of partnership development within a content-driven environment.
Global Perspective:
Experience working across multicultural regions such as APAC, EMEA, and the US.
Entrepreneurial Spirit:
A highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and listening abilities.
Technical Acumen:
Analytical skills to interpret performance data and recommend optimization strategies.
