looking for a few outstanding database and/or systems experts that will join a group of experienced database and systems professionals. The position is unique in the Israeli hi-tech industry as it offers an opportunity for performing research and development in the systems domain in a corporate setup, while joining a young and vibrant team that combines innovation with product-orientation.
Research new DB technologies towards conception followed by architecture, design, prototyping, development, testing and benchmarking
Collaborating with stakeholders in order to understand their requirements and identify opportunities
Analysis and evaluation of relevant state of the art and competitors products
Knowledge transfer of prototypes, code and results

Requirements:
Education: B.Sc. in CS or EE. Ph.D. or M.Sc. in CS is an advantage
Experience: At least 4 years of software development.
Intimate familiarity and proven experience with at least some of the following technologies: databases, SQL, distributed systems, operating systems, cloud & virtualization, compilers, modern CPU architecture
Excellent C/C++ programming skills
Familiarity with DB products (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Development experience in the Linux environment
Nice to have:
Linux kernel development skills
Experience with Storage Systems and Data Centers
Experience with NOSQL
Experience with HW/SW co-design
Experience with x86 and ARM64 architectures Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning and AI
Entrepreneurial experience or at least exposure to the business aspects of the IT industry
Skills
Proven sound knowledge of core computer science principles of database systems, operating systems, networking, performance evaluation, distributed and parallel systems, compilers, low-level performance analysis down to the microarchitecture level
Ability to see the big picture and conceive a high-level architecture
Self-motivation, self-organization, independence, curiosity, thoroughness, creativity, innovation
